Strawberry Overnight Oats Chia (Print Version)

Creamy oats layered with juicy strawberries, chia seeds, and granola for a wholesome breakfast.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk, dairy or plant-based
03 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt
04 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Fruit

07 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

→ Toppings

08 - 1/2 cup granola
09 - Additional strawberries, sliced as desired

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl or mason jar, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
02 - Gently fold the sliced strawberries into the oat mixture using a spatula, being careful to distribute them evenly throughout.
03 - Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight, allowing the oats and chia seeds to fully absorb the liquid and achieve a creamy consistency.
04 - In the morning, stir the mixture thoroughly. If the consistency is too thick, add a splash of milk to reach desired creaminess.
05 - Divide the prepared overnight oats evenly between two serving bowls or jars.
06 - Top each serving with granola and additional sliced strawberries if desired. Serve immediately.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It's genuinely ready when you are, no excuses, no rushing, just grab and go.
  • The chia seeds absorb liquid overnight and create this silky, pudding-like texture that feels way more luxurious than it should.
  • Fresh strawberries stay bright and delicious because they're not cooked into oblivion, they just soften slightly and blend their juice into everything.
02 -
  • The chia seeds aren't optional, they're what actually makes this work—without them you just have regular soggy oats, not the creamy pudding texture that makes this special.
  • Don't skip the Greek yogurt thinking milk alone will do; that yogurt is what gives it richness and keeps you satisfied for hours, which is kind of the whole point of eating breakfast before noon.
03 -
  • Add your granola topping literally right before eating, not the night before—it becomes sad and soggy otherwise, and then what's the point of having granola at all.
  • If you're making multiple jars, prep them all at once and they'll taste fresher than if you make them one day at a time, something about the flavors melding evenly throughout the batch.
