Healthy Overnight Oats Strawberry (Print Version)

A nourishing blend of oats, strawberries, and chia seeds prepared overnight for an easy, refreshing morning meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk (dairy or unsweetened plant-based)
03 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
04 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 2 teaspoons honey or pure maple syrup
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Fruit Layer

07 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

→ Toppings

08 - 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
09 - 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
10 - Extra sliced strawberries for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl or jar, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well until thoroughly mixed.
02 - Gently fold in the sliced strawberries into the oat mixture.
03 - Cover and refrigerate overnight, allowing at least 6 hours for the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and soften completely.
04 - In the morning, stir the oats thoroughly. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk to reach desired consistency.
05 - Spoon into bowls or jars. Top with extra strawberries, nuts, and coconut flakes if desired. Serve chilled.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • No morning cooking means you can actually sit down with your coffee instead of scrambling at the stove.
  • The strawberries stay bright and sweet because they're not overcooked, and the chia seeds add this satisfying texture that keeps you full.
  • You make it once and get two breakfasts, which feels like you've outsmarted the morning rush.
02 -
  • Don't skip the vanilla extract—it sounds unnecessary but it's what transforms this from healthy breakfast into something you'll actually crave.
  • Invest in a good jar with a tight-fitting lid; you're going to want to grab this and go, and a leaky container will ruin your commute.
03 -
  • Layer your ingredients intentionally—oats on the bottom, yogurt and milk mixed in, strawberries folded through—and it comes together more evenly overnight.
  • If you make these in mason jars, you can shake them up in the morning and eat straight from the jar, which is somehow more fun than it should be.
